2025 is “All About the Seasons”
Back in 2012 (or even earlier) our dear friend Susie Newell designed and created centerpieces for the 2012 NAME Portland, Oregon Houseparty. There were 4 different centerpieces, each depicting a different season: Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter.
With NAME’s permission, we are encouraging our members to take advantage of the artistic genius that Susie has so generously shared with us all.
Susie and her committee wrote articles and provided instructions and graphics to be published in the NAME Gazette, so that every NAME member could create their own version of all 4 centerpieces. Enough time has passed that those Gazette issues are now available to everyone through the NAME website.
We’ll begin the first quarter of 2025 with “Susie’s Spring”. Why spring you ask, when we are deep in the middle of winter? Well by February we’ll all be wishing for spring!
Below is the Spring Centerpiece from Fern’s collection. Fern has used Susie’s patterns and graphics and has created all 4 of the Susie’s Seasons vignettes.

Our second quarter of 2025 focuses on the lazy days of Summer! Susie created a relaxing oasis of fun in the sun, and we’d like to help you re-create some of her vision.
Additional photos, and links to instructions and graphics in the NAME Gazettes will be provided to our quarter connection members in the “Files” section on Groups.io. along with an assortment of wallpapers for your project.
Our fearless leader, Michelle, has also created pre-recorded Zoom classes for: 1. Cutting, assembling, and wallpapering the structure; and 2. Creating the detailed bases and landscaping your scene. You can find links to these quick and easy videos in the “Wiki” menu on our Groups.io site.
